Welcome to the Traders Code Website

This website provides professional level, online trading education and is created by Todd Krueger, a professional trader, inventor of Wyckoff Candle Volume Analysis and renowned expert in the application of volume analysis and supply and demand trading in the stock market, commodities, futures and FOREX markets. As the founding President of Traders Code, LLC; I bring over 24 years of trading experience to the trading arena. I started trading in 1985 as a series 3 licensed commodities broker. I quickly learned that I did not enjoy the brokerage side of the business but I was fascinated with the extreme personal challenges required to become a successful, full-time professional trader; I was hooked on trading the day I placed my first trade!

It seemed like a good idea to get a college degree so I followed that path. I graduated from Lawrence Technological University in 1990 with a BSBA and had a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I accomplished this by working full-time while I attended school full-time as well. I personally paid all of my college expenses and through all of the hard work and dedication, I graduated first in my class with a perfect 4.0/4.0 GPA. I spent the next 12 years of my life preparing to trade professionally while working in corporate America, honing my skills as a trader waiting for the opportunity to quit the corporate life and accept my true calling as an independent, professional trader.

During my corporate career I had the fortunate opportunity to refine my speaking and presentation skills as an adult educator, this proved to be an excellent background for my current enterprise. Groups of adults can have a difficult time learning new concepts and thought processes and it takes a great educator to facilitate the learning process in a diverse group of adults from varying backgrounds and intelligence levels. I think that you will truly value this skill as it ensures that every educational course available from Traders Code is presented in a very clear, concise and easy to follow manner. Many of my clients have commented that my presentations, some on very complex concepts, are delivered in such an easy to follow manner that makes the material very easy to grasp and understand. This is a very important part of the Traders Code educational experience, every educational product that you receive will be presented in the same, easy to understand and straight-forward style that I am known for.

I have followed a similar path to many of you that are reading this bio. I always knew that there were people that were making a full-time living from their trading skills but it proved to be an elusive pursuit that took me until 2002 to finally conquer. I went down many of the same paths that the new, inexperienced and unprofitable trader is confronted with. In reality, most of these paths are truly dead ends which lead to another path, which leads to another dead end, and so on and so on. When we all start down this path it is very difficult to determine which methodologies and techniques to follow, and which to stay away from. Most newbies fall prey to the get rich quick messages of easy wealth only to find out it really is too good to be true.

The reality of successful trading and investing in the stock market, or the commodities and FOREX markets, is it requires a high level of education and experience. The most efficient form of education is to hire a trading mentor to expedite your learning process and ensure that you are using techniques that are proven to work in the real world. With the right trading mentor, you cut many years, if not a lifetime, of wasted effort and money from your search.

Professional trading shares many similarities with professional golf. There are many amateurs in both pursuits who know how to go through the required steps to play the game. But just going through the steps does not produce successful results, it truly is the old axiom that practice doesn't make perfect, but perfect practice makes perfect. Our mentor teaches us the techniques and methods to practice and provides an environment that allows us to practice perfectly and learn how to be successful. Just as professional golf takes perfect practice, dedication and hard work, so to does becoming a professional trader.

It is critically important that you understand that you are competing against the smart money. Professional smart money traders enjoy huge advantages over the retail trader and they continuously manipulate the market, and along with it, your perception of the market. This is one of the major reasons why the average trader loses! Your perception dictates how you trade and therefore competing against these smart money traders is often a losing encounter. To be successful, it is imperative that you know how these traders work in the markets. That's why Traders Code exists, to provide the necessary professional level trading tools and methodologies to successfully compete against, and beat, the smart money.

The methodology that I follow and teach is one where we read the activity of the collective smart money trader on the price chart. The only way to effectively do this is to thoroughly understand the critical relationship that price and volume share. We do this by first understanding the Richard D. Wyckoff method of reading price/volume relationships on the chart. This is thoroughly covered in Module 1 of the Wyckoff Analysis Series home study course. We then go far beyond the more limited capabilities of Wyckoff Volume Analysis. We accomplish this by using these price/volume relationships as we interpret candlestick patterns (open, high, low, close and the ensuing pattern that this creates) with our Wyckoff Candle Volume Analysis techniques. This allows us to see, with much clearer results, which side of the trade the big money is on. This process exposes many important market turning points that would go completely unnoticed if using the now outmoded Wyckoff based analysis techniques that only look at the high, low and close of the bar. WCVA adds 2 additional independent variables to Wyckoff's original work, thus creating a far more accurate methodology to read the activity of the smart money.

We must also understand where the support/resistance zones are, and watch the price action when we are close to these areas. This process allows our market timing to be much more accurate than the other forms of technical analysis that most retail traders practice.

The results of these combined techniques allow us to read the charts and watch the order flow of the smart money to pinpoint their trading activity around the zones where we expect them to initiate trades from. Once armed with this information, we trade in the same direction as the smart money and profit when they profit.

This methodology and approach required 17 years of dedication, research and trading to complete.
